Identifying and Fighting Inflammation

Do you find yourself with:

• gas or bloating?

•fatigue and/or loss of energy?

•skin problems such as psoriasis or eczema?

•brain fog, depression, or anxiety?

•frequent headaches/migraines?

•stubborn belly fat?

•fluctuating weight?

Symptoms such as these, are the bodies way of reacting to inflammation that is often caused by different environmental factors. Inflammation is the bodies way of protecting itself from harmful toxins that it is exposed to, such as chemicals, alcohol, pesticides, food allergies, and even caffeine. When the body is constantly exposed to toxins, it sends signals to our cells to trigger a fight or flight response, in which the body reacts accordingly and becomes inflamed in order to protect itself. To find relief from inflammatory symptoms, the first step is to identify food allergies and AVOID eating them. Removing chemicals from the home and eliminating, or at least limiting the consumption of alcohol and caffeine, as well as sugar will also help to bring the body back to homeostasis and ditch the inflammation.

It is not going to be an easy road to healing, but I can promise you it will be worth it.

I am 19 years old and have struggled with my health for as long as I can remember. I often wondered why God allowed me to be filled with so much sickness, including polycystic ovarian syndrome, leaky gut, adrenal fatigue, an autoimmune disease known as Hashimotos, and more food allergies than I can even remember. Yet, I have recently discovered the power that everything we eat, touch, and breathe has on the human body, both positive and negative. I have learned that God allowed me to be sick so that I could help others to get better. I hope that through my blog, you are encouraged, feel less alone, and discover a healthier you.
